Carmen Falb, of Royal Oak Michigan, began beading by learning simple techniques and with a few simple tools. With over 20 years of experience, Carmen has created hundreds of pieces and designs, from simple earrings to elaborate neck plates. She is has been a finalist in international bead competitions and commissioned by many clients. Her work has been featured in Gilda's Club of Metro Detroit annual Bras for a Cause and featured in the event's media package.
Bead embroidery is her primary choice of techniques, yet incorporates beadweaving and fibers. Bead embroidery's intricate process can take incredible patience as every single bead is hand sewn onto a base. Products of all sorts of colors are used to carefully blend the unique "painted" effect.
